Leslie Bloomfield is the co-founder of Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels. He is a graduate of the Mercer County Community College Funeral Service Program. Mr. Bloomfield has been a licensed funeral director since 1978. He has been an active member of the Monmouth county Jewish community for over 35 years. Mr. Bloomfield is a member of the Battleground Knights of Pythias Lodge of Manalapan, NJ. He is a past board member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Monmouth County. He is a member of Temple Beth Torah, Ocean Township, NJ since 1968 and Temple Beth El, Ocean Township, NJ since 1981. He is an active member of the Jewish Funeral Directors of America (JFDA). Mr. Bloomfield currently serves on the JFDA’s Donations and Contributions Committee as well as the Education and Public Information Committee and previously served on the Scholarship Fund Committee.
Leslie, a Monmouth County resident for 36 years, is married to Shirley Cooper Bloomfield, who is also very active in the Jewish community. Mrs. Bloomfield is a Life Member of Hadassah. She is a Member of the Advisory Board of Jewish Family and Children’s Service. Mrs. Bloomfield is a member of Temple Beth Torah, Ocean Township, NJ since 1968 and Temple Beth El, Ocean Township, NJ since 1981. She is a past board member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Monmouth County.
Albert Bloomfield is the general manager of Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels. He is a graduate of the Mercer County Community College Funeral Service Program. Mr. Bloomfield has been a licensed funeral director since 1993. He is an active member of the Jewish community. He is currently a Board Member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Monmouth County, Jewish and is the Co-Chair of the Shore Division of the Federation. Mr. Bloomfield is a life time member of Temple Beth Torah Ocean Township and Board member of the Family & Children’s Services, Monmouth County, NJ.
He is a Dignity Memorial Escape School presenter and Dignity Memorial Smart and Safe Senior presenter both which are community service programs provided at no cost. Albert Bloomfield is currently the Treasurer of the JFDA and a past member of the Executive Committee, past co-chairperson of the Executive Seminar Committee and past member of the Donations and Contributions Committee.
Sidney Cooper is a co-founder of Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels. He is a graduate of the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service. He was a graduate of University of Florida in 1940. Mr. Cooper is a World War II Air Force Veteran and Jewish War Veterans Post 125. 4 years and Staff Sergeant
Past President of Congregation Agudath Achim, Bradley Beach, NJ. He was chairman of the Chevra Kadisha for 10 years. Retired in 1985. Now lives in Key Biscayne , Fl .
He is an active member of Congregation Beth David, Miami’s oldest congregation.
